What I’m Often Reaching For These Days…

Being out in the garden is nothing short of therapeutic for me. Whenever I am feeling stressed, anxious, or just need a quiet moment to get some clarity, I escape to the garden. There is something profoundly grounding about relaxing and unwinding by getting my hands in the dirt, harvesting a fresh basket of food and flowers, or simply giving the plants a long drink of water at the end of the day.

As I spend more time outside, my routine has naturally evolved. Before I step out into the garden lately, there is one specific accessory I have been reaching for more than ever: my new gardening sleeves (pictured to the left). It took a rather frustrating, month-long search to track down the perfect pair earlier this summer, but I am so glad I held out.

Why?

When you are deep into pruning vines or tending to raised beds, the last thing you want is restrictive, uncomfortable gear. What I love most about these gardening sleeves is how incredibly comfortable they are to wear for hours at a time. The material is exceptionally soft and breathable, and rather than trapping heat, they actively keep my arms cool while I am working under the hot sun.

Just as importantly, they are completely effortless to slip on and off. You never have to fight, tug, or stretch the material to pull them away when you are done. The manufacturer also notes that the fabric provides built-in UV protection from the sun, which is a fantastic bonus for anyone who tends to lose track of time while out among the plants.

To give you a closer look at how they fit and function in action, I put together a quick two-minute video demonstrating these features with my own personal pair.

I genuinely always have them with me when I step out into the garden now! If you are in the market for a reliable pair to protect your arms this season, check them out at the link below, where you can find more specific product details.

A Quick Sizing Tip: I typically wear a size Medium in long-sleeve shirts. However, I decided to go one size up and ordered these gardening sleeves in a Large. That ended up being the perfect choice, as they fit beautifully without being overly tight. I wanted to share this little detail, as I know how difficult it can be to determine when it is best to size up when ordering online!
