My mission from day one has been simple: to inspire and demonstrate through written content, practical guides, and photos that anyone can grow their own fresh food and flowers—even in small or unconventional growing spaces. Over the years, through trial, error, and thousands of plants started from seed, tubers, corms, and bulbs right here in my backyard, I’ve learned so much. While I don’t have an endless amount of space, I am constantly experimenting with creative ways to maximize my space to grow more of what I love, feed my family, and evolve on our self-sufficiency journey.

I share all of this to make your growing journey a little easier, take the overwhelm out of seasonal planning and seed starting, and help you realize your garden’s full potential.
